Year 2016 saw the publication of a paper called Future of Jobs from the World Economic Forum which detailed target employment, skills and workforce strategy for the future. The report which was compiled by asking Chief Human Resources and strategy officers from leading employers showed the following skills as must have skills:
Guiliana Wright is working on Smart Social Distancing Glasses. The glasses will detect when someone is too close to a person wearing them and will alert the owner through an alarm together with red flashing lights. The solution's aim is to improve social distancing amongst people during the Corona Virus pandemic lockdown.
Francois Van Der Walt is working on a Smart Hydroponic System.
The system will constantly monitor plants, water temperature,
environmental temperature, lighting, fish life and more. This
system will run its self constantly and alert the owner when
there's something wrong. It will also circulate water between
fish and plants.
Ade is working on a Temperature-controlled body parts and medical transport system. Body parts or special medicine require certain temperatures when transported. Medical stuff would input the required temperature before loading the products and the refrigerator will ensure the correct temperature is obtained.
Alex is working on a Smart Mirror. A mirror that switches
itself on in the morning when you stand in front of it. It
provides you with the day, week and day's weather forecast,
calendar for the day and daily affirmations to help you
kick-start your morning with a bang!
